Alucinação guitar tone

Belchior. Built for this recording. Nobody has played this one yet; it comes from a documented rig, not from ears.

Dial it in Guitar Rig 7 Player by hand, using only components the Player edition includes. A starting point nobody has played in this edition yet.

An amp modelled on a Marshall JMP100, through a Marshall 4x12 cab.

Knobs, in signal order

  1. JumpAmp

    • Preamp, 5 of 10
    • Bass, 5 of 10
    • Mid, 6 of 10
    • Treble, 6 of 10
    • Presence, 5 of 10
    • Master, 6 of 10
  2. Matched Cabinet ProCab

    • Cabinet, the one that loads with Jump

The rig calls for a Marshall 4x12 cabinet. NI does not publish the names of the matched cabinets, so start from the one that loads with the amp and change it by ear.

  • Note: A plain number is the knob's own reading on a 0 to 10 scale unless the setting gives another range; %, Hz, dB and ms are the units the Guitar Rig 7 interface shows. Amp, drive and fuzz knobs are assumed to read 0 to 10.

Where the rig comes from

  • Alucinação was recorded in 1976 at the 16 track Phonogram studio in Rio de Janeiro, produced by Marco Mazzola; Antenor Gandra is credited on electric guitar, with no per track guitar credits for the title track; a 1976 Folha de S.Paulo review quoted there describes the album's sound as divided between blues, country, baião and rock pt.wikipedia.org
